Som man ved, så er Hillary Clinton og Donald Trump meget spydige, og ofte efter hinandens karakterer og ikke evt. standpunkter og synsvinkler, hvilket mange har kritiseret under kampagnen. Det er da også set, at de har langet ud efter hinandens standpunkter, men derefter vendt det til noget personligt. Det, der kan undre mange er måske det her med, at det virker så ”uprofessionelt”. Så derfor vil mange mene, at de to præsidentkandidater udelukkende spillede på deres populisme. Hvilket er godt – på nogle tidspunkter, men det kan dog være grunden til, at der er mange, som måske har været i tvivl eller ligefrem ikke har haft lyst til at stemme på nogen af dem.
