Igen i år byder Copenhagen Summer F

Igen i år byder Copenhagen Summer Festival velkommen til 12 koncerter i Charlottenborg Festsal i København. Festivalen, der præsenterer kammerkoncerter med unge solister fra ind- og udland, kan opleves i perioden 02. til 13. august med koncerter hver dag kl. 16.30. Festivalen har eksisteret siden 1969 med den bærende profil, at præsentere klassisk kammermusik med unge talenter på vej. Festivalen er en af Danmarks vigtigste kammerkoncert-serier, og den har givet mange af dagens førende ensembler deres gennembrud. Konceptet er at engagere højt profilerede kunstnere side om side med morgendagens stjerner, både som en garant for festivalens hele kvalitet og som en opmærksomhedsskabende faktor over for publikum og presse.

Åbningskoncert søndag 2. august
Pianisten Antonii Baryshevskyi fra Ukraine, vinder af Rubinstein Competition 2014.
Rubinstein Competition er en af de vigtigste internationale konkurrence for pianister, og en motorvej til det internationale musiklivs absolutte eliteklasse. Baryshevskyi har også vundet andre musikpriser, har haft kæmpe succes ved Martha Argerich's festival i Lugano samt givet en ekstraordinær debut i Wigmore Hall i marts 2015. Dette er første præsentation i Danmark. Programmet består af musik af Skrjabin og Mussorgsky's herlige "Udstillingsbilleder".

Mandag 3. august

Nordahl Quartet med Oliver Nordahl obo, Bjarke Mogensen accordeon og Copenhagen Guitar Duo.
Nordahl Quartet er en ny dansk supergruppe. Kvartetten blev dannet i 2014 i forbindelse med Oliver Nordahls debutkoncert på Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium. Gruppen er et ekvilibristisk ensemble, der søger nye udtryksmuligheder indenfor klassisk musik. Programmet omfatter musik af Astor Piazzolla, Christos Farmakis, Anders Koppel, Yo-Yo Ma, Bjarke Mogensen m.fl.


Tirsdag 4. august
Trio Aulos med Jonas Frølund klarinet, Jonathan Algot Swensen cello, Elias Holm klaver.
En af de helt unge, fremstormende kammergrupper. De tre musikere hører til eliten af unge danske solister. Her i triospil med program af Beethoven, Glinka og Johannes Brahms.

Onsdag 5. august
Unge prisvindere fra Berlingske og Steinway Konkurrencer.
Koncert med de helt unge solister på vej. De to violinister Adam Koch Christensen (15 år) og Michael Rosborg Germer (13 år), hornisten Cecilie Bye Byrialsen (14 år) samt pianisten David Ib Munk-Nielsen (16 år). Programmet omfatter bl.a. Bach, Sarasate, Richard Strauss.

Torsdag 6. august
Copenhagen Piano Quartet, musik af Charlotte Bray, Mahler, Glerup, Dvorak.
Benedikte Damgaard (violin), Kristina Fialova (bratsch), Adam Stadnicki (cello) og Neel Teilmann (klaver) udgør kvartetten. De har senest haft stor succes ved koncerter i Italien og Kina. Prismodtager ved DR P2 Kammermusikkonkurrence samt international Johannes Brahms Konkurrence i Østrig.
Charlotte Bray er en af Englands førende unge komponister. Hendes musik er bl.a. opført af London Philharmonic Orchestra, Birmingham Symphony Orchestra og flere kammerensembler.
Hun præsenteres første gang i Danmark.

Fredag 7. august
Prisvinder Philipp Scheucher, Aarhus International Piano Competition 2015.
Den unge pianist er født i 1993. Han har spillet klaver siden han var 5 år og har allerede opnået vigtige musikpriser ved europæiske konkurrencer. Har desuden givet koncerter i bl.a. Tyskland, Frankrig, Italien, Spanien, Polen, Kroatien, Ungarn og Tjekkiet.
Han præsenteres for første gang i København, hvor programmet omfatter Beethoven Fantasi, Liszt h-mol Sonate og Stravinsky Petrouchka Suite.

Lørdag 8. august
Prisvindere fra Øresunds Solist.
Ved koncerten medvirker nogle af årets prisvindere. Alva Holm (violin), Peter Martin Kappel (clarinet), Daniel Thoerell (cello), Jonna Simonsson (violin) og Nicholas Algot Swensen (bratsch).
De unge solister akkompagneres af den svenske pianist Jonas Olsson. Programmet omfatter musik af bl.a. Sarasate, Poulenc, Ysaÿe, Carl Maria von Weber og David Popper.

Søndag 9. august
Itamar Zorman, israelsk violinist, vinder af Tschaikowsky Competition 2011.
Han blev født i 1985 og er i dag en af sin generations betydeligste violinstjerner. Efter Tschaikowsky Competition 2011 har hans internationale karriere taget fart overalt, især i USA, hvor han også er uddannet på den navnkundige Juilliard School i New York, i Europa og naturligvis også i Israel.
Han har været solist både i Avery Fischer Hall og Carnegie Hall, New York, i Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, og spillet med et stort antal af de bedste symfoniorkestre i verden.
Ved klaveret den italienske pianist Gabriele Carcano, som har spillet ved talrige festivaler og koncertserier især i Europa, efter han for fire år siden vandt Casella Pris ved Competition Premio Venezia.
Programmet omfatter musik af Dvorak, Bartok og Ravel og er Zorman's første præsentation i Danmark.

Mandag 10. august
Copenhagen Summer Festival Talentpris, Lea Han, klaver.
Programmet omfatter klaver solo, samt Mendelssohn's Klavertrio med violinisten Vera Panitch og cellisten Signe Bitsch.
Modtageren af dette års talentpris, Lea Han, er en af landets mest talentfulde, unge pianister. Hun er bare 18 år og har allerede vundet de vigtigste nationale musikkonkurrencer, inklusive Berlingske, Steinway og DR Spil For Livet. Man kan med rette sætte store forventninger til hendes musikalske løbebane. Ved denne koncert spiller hun dels solo og dels klavertrio sammen med to unge super strygertalenter.
Talentprisen er sponsoreret af Nykredit.

Lørdag 11. august
Europæisk cello-klaver duo.
Ung superduo med den italienske pianist Alberto Ferro og den danske cellist Jonathan Algot Swensen. Begge to har vundet utallige priser, senest har Alberto vundet en pris i Aarhus International Piano Competition, og Jonathan vandt både 1. pris og Talentpris i Øresunds Solist. Her har de fundet sammen i et program med bl.a. Bach-Busoni, Mendelssohn, Bent Sørensen og Schostakovitch.

Onsdag 12. august
Violinist Eszter Haffner, international solist og professor ved Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium.
Født i Ungarn, uddannet i Wien samt hos markante violinister bl.a. Gerhard Schulz, Joseph Gingold, Tibor Varga, Alberto Lysy og mange andre, er Eszter Haffner en af førende europæiske violinister og violinpædagoger. Hun er desuden professor både ved konservatoriet i Graz, Østrig, samt ved Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium i København. Hun akkompagneres af pianist Poul Rosenbaum, og programmet omfatter musik af bl.a. Schubert og Brahms.

Torsdag 13. august
Cellisten Camille Thomas, vinder af EBU Konkurrencen New Talent 2014, med Julien Libeer ved klaveret.
Den franske cellist Camille Thomas blev født i 1988. Meget tidligt viste hun ekstraordinært talent, og prisen New Talent 2014 er indtil nu blot kulminationen på en lang række priser og anerkendelser. Vinderprisen har ført hende til nogle af Europas bedste koncertsale i bl.a. Berlin, Paris og Bruxelles, dette som solist ved festivaler og koncertserier. Hun regnes for en af sin generations mest talentfulde, unge musikere.
Ved klaveret har vi den unge franske pianist Julien Libeer, der allerede har en omfattende karriere bl.a. med koncerter i koncertserier i Barbican Hall i London, og Concertgebouw i Amsterdam.
Det er Camille Thomas' første præsentation i Danmark.

Benedikte Damgaard (violin), Kristina Fialova (bratsch), Adam Stadnicki (cello) and Neel Teilmann (piano) represent the Quartet. The last had great success at gigs in Italy and China. Winner by DR P2 Kammermusikkonkurrence and international Johannes Brahms competition in Austria.

The French cellist Camille Thomas was born in 1988. Very early she showed extraordinary talent, and price New Talent 2014 is until now only the culmination of a wide range of prices and awards.
