I følgende opgave har jeg gennem bogen ”The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” set på hvordan livet er når man lider af sygdommen Aspergers syndrom. Derigennem har jeg set på hvilke konsekvenser og påvirkninger det kan have af ens hverdag samt éns forhold til fremmede såvel som nære. Derudover har jeg set på hvilken påvirkning på verdenssynet denne sygdom har, og har tilmed perspektiveret til den meget kendte Sherlock Holmes, da han har mange af samme autistiske træk og opfatter verdenen på den samme logiske måde som hovedpersonen heri.
Endvidere har jeg set på hvordan matematikken og logikken fremtræder i bogen, samt givet en gennemgående redegørelse for sandsynlighedsregning, en bevisførelse for Bayes sætning og til sidst sat dette i forhold til Monty Hall-Problemet, for at bevise den logiske tilgang hovedpersonen har, og som illustrere mange gange til i bogen.
Ud fra dette har jeg fundet frem til, at livet i social sammenhæng ikke altid er lige nemt, når man lider af en mental sygdom som Aspergers syndrom. Hverken for personen selv, eller menneskerne omkring. Dette kan give nogle komplikationer, som kan være svære at finde løsning på.
Dog kan det have nogle fordele, i forhold til observans, logik og matematik.

Neither of the person himself, or the humans around. This may cause some complications, which can be hard to find solution on.However, it may have some benefits, in relation to the observances, logic and mathematics.
