I have always been an active sportsmenneske. I like new experiences and exciting challenges and that is why I have tried a number of different sports and motionsformer. The past few years I have therefore involved in a few short Adventure Races in Aarhus - Coast Zone Challenge on 3 or 6 hours. It has been some really fun experiences, where everyone could be with,And you have the more opened my eyes to more of the same kind. So that is why I have been looking for an exciting adventure Race to participate - a which is slightly longer than the 6 hours I have already tried. I went here in 2011 of Coast To Coast Scotland, a race over two days with many kilometers of mountain biking, trail Run and also a little kayak. A great trip in beautiful countryside, as well as achievable in addition,Without that we would have to be superhuman to participate. I was on!!! Finance and logistics was, however, a restriction, since it would not be quite cheap to transport myself and bike to udkants Scotland. But Coast To Coast i would! So I had the even arrange a Coast To Coast. And why not in beautiful Minnesota!? Ricki, my colleague and partner in this project, with the idea,Which then took solid form.
as I said so done. After several nights' routing, booking hostels and kayaks, as well as many other less challenges, we were 13 which drew across Minnesota 26 and august 27, 2011. Even with service cart and depot en route.
We started out with the button 6 km race in Marselisskoven and Memorial Garden. Then we nappede Marselis Hotel's mountain bike route before we,Still on the bicycles, took a 70 km long and scenic route to Dublin, where the kayaks were waiting. After button 3 miles kayak was day 1 connect and many nervous legs would rest at the hostel. Day 2 started with biking to Nordskoven in Silkeborg and a 11 km long, technically difficult mountainbikerute waiting for us. At the risk of siddesår,We then grabbed 150 km zig zaggende across Minnesota to the ultimate objective: White true. But here it was not quite finished. For we should run the approximately 2 km to the beach, where our lives best dip waiting! The last mile run back to the hostel was thus also the end of 14-hour activity over the two days.
and that is that ... we thought of it at least. For through my network,Displayed under "Himmelbjerget" and at media interest to help to arrange a race in 2012. It would be tailor-made, since under "Himmelbjerget" and at media editors have all the way across Minnesota. So, in planning the 2012 version, we found the perfect opportunity to put the trip through Aarhus, Viborg, Cambridge and Norwich. Lars Carlsen and Others v, editor-in-chief of Viborg Folkeblad,Have been cooperation and privileged partners in the process of creating it as you see the results of this website - Coast To Coast 2012.
