Han er rigtig god til sport specielt fodbold men Tingængæld var han ikke særlig klog, han var rigtig dårlig til at lære ting. l.32 and 35 s.1
Han virker til at være en meget hård type, fordi han passer godt på Davis, hvis der kommer nogle og driller ham. linje.37-45 s.1. og at de andre hvide børn tør ikke drille dem så meget, fordi de ved at han vil smadre dem.
Han er det man kalder for fattig, han inviterede aldrig Evan hjem fordi deres hus var ødelagt og stank mærkeligt. linje. 67-71. s. 1. han har 4 søskende.
Han virker alligevel glad for det han har, han synes ikke det er så slemt igen, ihvertfald ikke i forhold til dem som boede i campen, det var meget værre at bo der.

Han bliver så skuffet og deprimeret da Evan aflyser, at han har lyst til at græde. han er forvivlet for hvad skulle han nu sige når han kom hjem, han var flov over at moren havde ret. Han mister respekten for Davis og de snakker ikke rigtig sammen mere, men han begynder at snakke med ham som drillede Davis en anden sort dreng.
